Location
Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition

a superimposed purpose-built exhibition
complex, currently under construction,
in Nangang, Taipei, which consists of
two exhibition halls one over the other.
It is located to the east of the Taipei
World Trade Center (TWTC), about 15
minutes¡¦ drive from the
TWTC along the Huangdong Expressway.
Space
Usage of Floors
This complex, Asia¡¦s newest
trade-show venue will have the capacity
to host 2,465 standard-size (3x3 meters)
booths and will occupy an exhibition
space of 46,175 square meters. Construction
began in March 2005, costing US$ 110
million, and will be completed in July
2007 with the first show at the TWTC
Nangang beginning in early 2008.
The Exhibition Center
Lower Exhibition
Floor
The exhibition hall on the ground floor
has a total of 23,167 square meters
with a capacity for 1,159 standard-size
exhibition booths, with each booth measuring
3-meters-by-3-meters. Its lowest ceiling
is 9 meters high and floor loading weight
capacity is 5,000 kg per square meter.
Electricity and water supply lines are
paved beneath the floor surface. The
floor can be divided into three areas
to accommodate three events taking place
at the same time.
Upper Exhibition
Floor
The 23,008-square-meter floor has a
capacity for 1,306 standard-size booths.
The column-free hall on the fourth floor
with the height from 14.3 meters to
27.3 meters is an ideal venue not only
for trade shows, but also for large-scale
conventions, sports and cultural events.
It has a floor loading capacity for
2,000 kg per square meter and concealed
electricity and water outlets.
Two
large entrance halls, 2,000 square meters
each, are located both on the ground
and the fourth floors and can be used
for registration, meeting areas, information
distribution, and other pre-function
activities.
Outdoor Exhibition
Area
An outdoor exhibition area of over 1,000
square meters is at the front of the
main entrance. This venue is capable
of handling the heaviest machinery¡]capacity
7,000 kg per square meter¡^and
high-rise exhibits.
Conference
Rooms
Located on the 4th and the 5th floors
are eight purpose-designed meeting rooms
with two permanently installed interpreter
booths. On the 5th floor, the largest
meeting room occupies a space of 505
square meters and has tiered seating
for 561 guests. The other seven modular-sized
meeting rooms can be joined to increase
space from 102 square meters up to 376
square meters with theater seating for
90 to 404 guests.
Parking
The basement of the building provides
parking space for 620 cars and 1,770
motorcycles. Moreover, within a radius
of 500 meters of the premises there
is additional parking space for 3,800
cars.
Restaurants
The 3rd floor features a western-style
restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, and
a cafeteria. The 450-seat western-style
restaurant has a dining area of 1,151
square meters, including three conference-dining
rooms. The 400-seat Chinese restaurant
has a dining area of 1,045 square meters
and the 250-seat cafeteria uses 653
square meters. Spacious foyers around
two exhibition floors are also used
for food stalls and refreshment services.
