already claiming that by the end of Q1 2007
more than 50% of Intel notebook processors
shipped will contain a Merom core. Merom
is Intel¡¦s next generation dual-core
notebook processor slated for release by
the end of July. Production quantities may
not be available until mid-August, but Intel
expects to ramp up production quikly enough
to supplant 15% of its current notebook
processor sales with new Meroms by the fourth
quarter of this year.
